Definition of “Pinch”: to squeeze or compress between the finger and thumb.

How well can you pinch or squeeze your fandom into a drabble? A drabble, from our own Fanlib Glossary, is defined as: a piece of writing that’s exactly one hundred words in length. There's some dispute if the title's inclued in that word count; thus, I’ll leave it up to you – 100 words with or without your title. But not a word more, I’ll be counting! Winner gets a fictitious pot o' gold.
Mission: Pinch an interesting idea, scene, or other imaginative concept from your fandom into a drabble (100 word) submission. It does not have to be about St. Patrick’s Day. Ready, set, write!

Mine is 100 words by my word…
Mine is 100 words by my word program :) *enters*
Re: Mine is 100 words by my word…
Without title ;). Of course the title and the first line are the same anyway *lol*
Re: Mine is 100 words by my word…
Thanks to those who voted for me. I enjoyed reading the other entries.

what if...
what if it has a little more or less than 100 words? Like 104?
Re: what if...
The challenge of a drabble is to master your writing into 100 exact words.
Once again, it can be 100 words exactly in the body, without the title word count.
Or it can be 100 words exactly, including the words in the title.
But, either way you choose, it must be exactly 100 words.
It's the rule of the drabble ... not mine.
Anna-wa, if you're at 104 words, there must be a few words you could eliminate by rephrasing something. You are so close. I know you can do it!
Re: what if...
well, actually mine is only 89 words. I'll try to get some more in though (if I do get exactly 100 words though, I'll probably be the only one.)
what about...
double and triple drabbles?
Re: what about...
Just a 100 word drabble this time. That way everyone's on the same ground to compare.
Thanks for asking, anna-wa.

I've been noticin' a fair amount of entries havin' no mention of them bein' a "drabble." The same ones have been mistaken for too short a muse. Ya might be findin' it helpful to mention that you're writtin' a drabble of 100 words. Drabbles are like leprechauns - short, plump and mischievious, teasin' ya to click on your profile link and follow them to find more satisfyin'.
Hope this post will be helpin' ya all.
Question!
Hyphenated words - will you count them as one or two?
Re: Question!
LOL, you're not messing around, are you, tikatu?! Hyphenated words count as one word.
Re: Question!
Thanks, jean. I'll edit my drabble accordingly.
Re: Question!
First entry, I believe!
