Chapter 1: The beginning of the first day.
"SAKURA-SAN!!!! GET UP OR YOU'LL BE LATE FOR YOUR FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!" Her mother shouted as she yanked the sheets off of Sakura.
"Just....a little....while...longer," yawned Sakura as she began to drift back to sleep.
Her mother was getting furious with Sakura's behavior. She always thought Sakura should be more like Jamei. Jamei, Sakura's younger sister is very respectful towards and mainly did what she was told before having the person repeat their selves. And Sakura's mother loved this quality of Jamei.
"Iie!!! Get up now because you're making me late for work, trying to wake you up," again her mother complained.
Sakura growled. She wasn't ready for school especially for the first day of high school. Who would want to go to a place full of teens with raging hormones!! "Okay, okay," she annoyingly mumbled while rising up in her comfy bed. She wiped away at her light-emerald colored eyes to rid the blurry effect.
"Mother," Sakura directed at her.
She grew alerted, "Hn?"
Sakura managed to choke a little- her mother wasn't one to be questioned with, "why are you always calling me 'Miss Sakura' now that I've turned 14. It's weird....."
Her mother huffed. Now wasn't the time for her daughter to ask questions. She's on the verge of being late for work. And her job as a nurse...well there are people who are dying out there in the world. Working day and night shifts with no occasional leisure time must be stressful; very strict woman would be a better way to describe Sakura's mother.
"I think," her mother adjusted her stance and held one finger in the air speaking business-like, "you should be well respected for your age now since you are becoming a young lady and the fact you won't be treated like a little girl anymore."
Sakura grew wide eyed and sighed, "but-"
"AND you're in high school. Many people will address you in that manner since you're in a private school. Back in my day everyone was addressed properly including students......"
Sakura sighed heavily and thought her mother was becoming a burden. "Mother, no one acts like that anymore. The way you just described school was during like ancient times. All teens are more....uh..um MOTHER! WHY ARE YOU LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT?!!" Sakura yelled in panic as she defended herself.
Her mother's death glare died down. She realized that she was running late and could already hear the nurses complain about her tardiness. "Don't ever speak to me like that again. You hear me? I'm already late, thanks to you," a sudden memory popped into her head as she headed out the door, "by the way, your friend is downstairs waiting for you, so I suggest you hurry."
Sakura swallowed the lump that formed in her neck, which grew to harsh words that just have been formed into her ears and responded without delay, "right, yes ma'am."
Sakura's mother departed without any more words.
Although Sakura was in awestruck, she was used to her so called mother speaking in such a manner. Their relationship wasn't the best and most of all wasn't mother to daughter like. No way near that. It was almost as if Sakura was simply just a in law to take care of.
I wonder what time it is?
The pink-haired teen turned her head to observe the digits that formed on the alarm clock, which was resting on the end table next to her bed.
Let's see...only 6:55....NANI?!!!!! I WILL BE LATE!!! MOTHER WILL KILL ME IF SHE EVER FOUND OUT I WAS LATE ON MY FIRST DAY!!! HAVE TO HURRY, HAVE TO HURRY!!!!!!!!
She jumped to her feet heading straight for the bathroom; showering, brushing her teeth to perfection, and such. After all the grooming, she then put her school's uniform on and fixed her short hair into a small but cute ponytail.
Sakura ran downstairs swinging her backpack over her shoulder and abruptly stopped in her path. There she saw Ino waiting patiently for her.
Ino appeared to look quite nice. Her long bleach blond hair tied into a lovely ponytail. Uniform well put together in perfection consisting of a black jacket, short plaid blue skirt, long black boots and a white polo; which all suited her body well.
Yamanaka Ino is Sakura's most trusted friend. Gifted in the art of flowering. Caring for Sakura's feelings without really showing it unless she felt the need to do so. Over the course of years, Ino has deeply matured in Sakura's eyes and it was until this moment she has realized that until the Yamanaka opened her mouth.
"SAKURA! ARE YOU JUST GOING TO STARE AT ME OR HURRY TO SCHOOL!! We have about 45 minutes including the walk there. Come on!"
Sakura zoomed herself out of the gaze and shook her head, "oh! Yes, I'm ready. Iku ze."
They headed out through the door, on their way to engage into a new journey; the high school full of various teens with out of the world personalities.
That's mad Tight!!!
