Unfaithful Bridge

Even the strongest bridge will fall.

Yet they seem so sturdy, you trust

That they would never let you down.

But the suspense cracks, the ice breaks,

And you find yourself falling, drowning

In the sea of uncertainty, of betrayal.

And as you feel the pain seep into

Your body like a life-stealing virus

You tell yourself that you were stupid,

That you should have known better.

How could you expect someone to

Understand what even you don't know?

But was it that hard to understand?

Was a little trust just too hard for you;

Was it just too much to ask of you?

Yes. Yes, it was. And I should have known.

Because from the moment we met, I saw
