THE HIGH SCHOOL YEARS

It's now Juan's and Kayla's first day of high school. Both of their alarms go off at 5am. They both moan and hit the snooze button and go back 2 sleep.

"Kayla sweetheart time to get up." Christina said walking into Kayla's room.

"5 more minutes mom!" Kayla moaned.

"No sweetheart. You have to start getting ready or you will miss the bus. And me and your dad can't drive you because Uncle Tim is out of work for while so I'm taking over until he's back and we can't be late. Now get up." Christina said.

"Fine." Kayla said sitting up.

"Alright I'll be downstairs starting breakfast so hurry up." Christina said smiling.

"I will." she said.

"Morning Mom." Juan said yawning and heading towards the shower.

"Morning Juan." Christina said heading downstairs.

When she got downstairs she saw that Eric had beat her to the coffee maker. She could smell the cafe cubano brewing. She was making herself a cup when Eric tried to sneak up behind her but he made to much noise.

"Morning my Cuban yum." she said laughing.

"How come I can never scare you?" he asked wrapping his arms around her waist.

"Because you make to much noise trying to sneak up on me." she said turning in his arms.

"Guess I need more practice." he said kissing her on the lips.

"Yea you do." she said kissing him back.

"Eww!" Juan and Kayla said.

"Morning." both Christina and Eric said pulling apart laughing.

"Morning Mom. Morning Dad." Juan and Kayla said making themselves something eat.

"You both look very nice today." Christina said.

"Thanks." they both said.

"Your Welcome." Christina said.

"You guys better go before you miss the bus." Eric said.

"Alright." they said heading out the door

As Juan and Kayla walked into the Cypress Bay Annex (it was 4 the ninth graders only because the main campus was over crowded) they looked at each other and gave a nervous smile. Kayla had Bio 1, Trigonometry 1, AP English 1, and Law and Justice. Juan had all the same classes but he had a class where it went to the lab so they can learn to be CSI's. Christina and Eric didn't know what classes they had because they went with their friends to pick their classes. Kayla saw here friends and squealed and ran over to them.

"Oh my god! I thought I was going to go this whole day without seeing you guys!" Kayla said as she and her friends hugged.

"Us too!" her friend Amanda said.

"I'm so nervous. Juan is going over to the lab for fourth hour he's taking that class. I don't see whats so interesting about being a CSI. Now a defence lawyer is what I'm talking about." Kayla said.

"You do know that you'll be working against mom, dad and me when we graduate from college." Juan said.

"Yea." Kayla said.

"You know when they find out they may be pissed off." Juan said.

"Yea. So what! My life!" Kayla said snootily.

"whatever." Juan said as the get to class bell rang. They all headed to their classes and they were excited for the new school year to being.
