Snape's Daughter
Chapter 1: Sabrina
SOMEWHERE AROUND SNAPE'S 7TH YEAR AT HOGWARTS:
Severus sighed as he looked across the courtyard. Sabrina Beatrice Willcox. She was by far the prettiest girl at Hogwarts- aside from Lily Evans. Snape shook his head and wrinkled in disgust at that mudblood. He had loved her for so long, and then she went with that Potter.
He put on an even more disgusted face at that name. Stupid Potter. With his rugged good looks, his talent for quidditch, and ugh- the way he walked around that way with his hair tousled like he just got off his broom. It made Severus sick.
But back to Sabrina. She was in his double period Potions class. Snape hated potions. In his opinion, it was the most boring class at school. What snape really liked was Defense Against the Dark Arts. It was the most exciting class he had ever attended. But also, mainly because Sabrina was also in his mixed DADA class. He sighed heavily as he looked at his watch.
"Almost dinner time." He mumbled to himself. He heaved his heavy books over his shoulder and trudged his way up the hill to the castle.
"Hello Severus." A sjy sweet voice came from behind him. He turned to see in his disbelief, Sabrina standing beside him, holding her books protectively and unaturaley tight against her.
"Sabrina, h-hi." Severus was shocked.
"S-so are you studying for the Charms exam tomorrow?" She pulled her beautiful wavy dark blonde hair away from her teal eyes, revealing her soft and elgantly featured heart shaped face. She had the smoothest pale cream skin, that Severus imagined was extremely soft to touch. She had the slightest hint of light brown freckles on her nose, and the apples of her cheeks under her eyes.
"Um yes, actually, that's what I was doing by the lake over there." Severus gave a small nudge to the Lake that bordered the castle.
"Oh, cool. I find it hard actually to study, Charms isn't exactly my best subject." She blushed.
"Oh- well, I could help you study if you'd like." Snape was quick to answer.
"Oh thank you that would be wonderful!" Her face brightened in a way that made Severus feel fuzzy inside.
"Oh but wait! You're in Gryffindor! We might have to find someplace to study." Severus realized.
"Oh no worry, I know this passage where we can study. Do you know that statue of a one eyed witch on the third floor?" She asked.
"Oh yes, it's on my way to Defense Against the Dark Arts." Severus smiled a crooked smile.
"Yes, I know. Me too." Sabrina smiled happily as they walked up to the castle together.
"Well, I'll meet you there tonight at 8:30." She smiled one last time.
"Alright." Severus promised. He was ready to head down to the dungeons to the Slytherin common room to drop off his stuff,
"Severus!" Sabrina called sweetly. Severus turned to find her smile glowing with joy at the top of the stairs.
"Don't be late." She winked at him, and then turned to glide excitedly to the next of stairs.
That Night:
Severus was so excited. He looked at the ancient clock on the stone wall of the Slytherin common room. 8:25. He nearly exploded from his seat. Then realizing that everyone in Slytherin was sleeping right now, so he crept slowly throught the murky corridors of the dungeons, until he reached the staircase that brought him to the foyer of the castle. He quitely hurried up the large set of stairs, and was careful not to wake any of the paintings on his way to the third floor.
At one point between the first and second floor, he thought he saw one of the men in the painting of the the painting of the three alchemists stir for a minute, but then sighed with relief as he saw that it was just a reflex. He got to the third floor and let out a sigh. Quickly, he walked to the statue and pushed it gently to the side to reveal a usually dark passage, but tonight, it was lit by a few candles, a lumos charm, and Sabrina's warm smile.
"You made it." She grinned. "All in one piece I hope?" They both laughed softly. Severus liked her laugh, it was like so many wonderful things at once, like birds chirping, or a waterfall, or the perfect first gust of wind on a crisp autumn morning.
