Severed Mind: Severed Heart
Rose has a temper hotter than fire.
Why is Rose so abusive? And why is Robin so forgiving of her?
Submitter Notes: I do NOT own any of the Teen Titans. I do own Rose and her family. This story is dedicated to one of my best friends who loved the Titans as much as I do. You know who you are.

The room was a swirling blur as she opened her eyes to find out it wasn't the street, but a dark room, attached to a bed. In her current state of mind, she tugged at the bindings until, finally, she gave up, and began to weep.
Once I find that Robin, I'll find out what he fears and make it reality.
Meanwhile, the man himself was standing outside the room, observing her, the rest of his team in the living room, playing games or having fun.
Something about this lost superhero had surprised him. Her abilities were strong, yet he had no idea what they were. She rejected so many offers to join the Titans, yet rejected twice as many offers to join Slade. She said she was on her own side.
He finally focused on her again; only to find the bed was empty. He opened the door to the room, looking around inside.
"So, you finally noticed I was out of that... insanity position?" She said, offended.
"Listen--"
"Have you told them you captured me yet? Or is it a surprise to your sadistic friends?" The girl's temper was flaring.
"Rose--"
"Don't say anything! I won't respond to anything you say, Robin! It's either you have it my way or Slade gets an important addition to the team!"
Starfire gasped, and put a hand over her mouth. The others were hiding by the doorway in the hall.
Robin was silent and still. She was glaring at him, temper cooling off slowly. He only smiled at her. She fell to her knees.
"I'm sorry, Robin," She said, and he stood in front of her, offering her a hand to get up. She grasped it tightly and pulled herself up. "I hope you don't think this means I'm going to join the Titans," She said.
"Not at all," He said, and she walked out of the room, him following. They continued down the hall, having no idea they were being followed.
"I'll show you to your room," He said, and she nodded.
Next to one another, you would have thought they were going out or something. Starfire got jealous, but continued after her friends.
"Here's your room," Robin said, and Rose nodded, shutting the door in his face.
"Come on out," He said, making everyone slightly shriek. "I know how long you've been there."
Everyone stepped out into the open slowly, tapping their fingers together and not looking at his face.
"Who is she," Starfire asked, the only one brave enough to ask. "And why does she treat you like that? It is not nice, and I do not like it!"
"Star," Robin said, smiling. "Easy, she's no harm to us. Just let her get comfortable. She'll grow on you."
He walked into the living room.
"Robin's got a crush," Cyborg said, and Starfire glared at him.
"I think so too," Beast Boy said. "I knew he'd fall for a girl that played hard to get."
"Oh really?" Raven said, and Beast Boy nodded.
"Let's play some video games, BB," Cyborg said, and they raced to get the first controller.
Raven followed for a cup of tea.
Starfire stepped to Rose's door and knocked lightly.
"Who is it?!" Rose yelled.
"It is Starfire," Starfire yelled in response. "I have come to wish you greetings! Do you like the corn of popping?! I think they are making some! Would you like to join--"
Rose burst the door open and socked Starfire in the face. She smirked before closing the door again. Starfire had been punched before, but being punched by a teammate she couldn't punch back was angering. She was so frustrated she burst into tears and ran to her room, passing Beast Boy in the hallway. Lord knows why he wasn't playing video games.
"Star?" He asked, but she continued past him. "Star, what's wrong? Star!" He ran after her.
They finally got to her room, where she jumped onto her bed and began crying even harder.
"Star, what happened?" He asked.
"Rose," Starfire replied, sobbing. "She punched me!"
"We have got to tell Robin!"
Beast Boy ran to the living room and whispered what just happened in Robin's ear. His face tightened and he walked out of the room so fast Beast Boy had to strain his walk to keep up.
Robin knocked on her door. It opened incredibly quickly.
"How many times do I have to sock you before-- Oh, hello, Robin."
"Can I speak to you?" Robin asked.
She nodded, and he stepped into her room, door closing.
"Whaddya think they're talking about?" Cyborg asked, for all the Titans had gathered at the door. In an instant, Beast Boy turned into a fly and squeezed under the crack in the door. Looking around the room, he'd found a good wall and placed himself on it.
