Encounters

Sakura and Naruto walked to his apartment silently. Sakura always seemed to be staring at Naruto and didn't care what anyone thought.
"I better go see Tsunade-sama."Naruto said sighing.
Sakura shook her head, awakening from her perfect fantasy. "M!"she said. "I'll go-"
"No,"Naruto said firmly. "You go back to my apartment."
Sakura's mouth dropped, then she shook her head. "NO I'm-"
"Listen!"Naruto said turning to face the shocked Sakura. "I don't want you interfering with this mission. I want to find Sasuke-kun, too." Naruto looked up at the sky as he said the last line.
Sakura blushed a bit and tapped the toe of her sandal on the ground. She felt Naruto grab her face and lift it gently. "Please, Sakura-chan."
Sakura blushed. "F-fine."she looked away.
Naruto smiled and kissed her tenderly.
Naruto parted and Sakura followed his hand, almost falling. "I promise,"he said smiling that stupid smile and closing his eyes,"I'll find Sasuke!" He then gave her a thumbs up, then left.
Sakura was frozen in fear. Dezavous again, not good. Sakura bit her lip and wanted to chase after Naruto, making him forfeit that promise. She actually almost did it, but Ino stepped out in front of her.
"Hey, Billboard Brow."Ino smiled. "Lovey dovey with the Lemon Head loser, eh?"
"Ino-pig!"Sakura said, her anger bubbling up not because she was making fun of her, but Naruto.
"What?"Ino said in a sarcastic way. "I just wanna know."
Sakura sighed and shook her head. "I love Naruto, and he loves me."
Ino raised a brow. "You are?! What about Sasuke?"
Sakura stared after Naruto and frowned. "It's because of him that Naruto is leaving." Tears rimmed Sakura's eyes.
"S-Sakura-chan?"
Sakura burst into tears and crashed to her knees. "It's...it's my fault too!"she cried into her palms.
Ino squatted and put her hands on Sakura's shoulder. "Come on now, I've never seen you this sad since...forever."Ino comforted. She then smiled. "Not since you were a kid."
Sakura looked at Ino. She giggled. "I d-do look like a child, crying like this. Huh?"
Ino laughed. "Heck yes you do!"
Sakura and Ino laughed together. They both stood and Ino put her hand on her hip. "Don't be so sad, Billboard Brow."
Sakura smiled. "Now you sound like the child, Ino-chan."
Ino's face twisted in surprise. "W-what'd you call me?"
"Ino-chan."Sakura giggled.
Ino smiled lightly. "Yeah, I do sound like a-" Ino was interrupted by Sakura hugging her.
"You always make me happier whenever I get really sad, Ino-chan."
Ino's shocked expression softened and she hugged Sakura back. "You as well, Sakura-chan."
Sakura looked at Ino and smiled and half laughed. Ino joined her.

"MOM!" Ino screamed from inside their little flower shop. "Sakura-chan's here!"
"Tell her I said hello, dear. I'm kind of busy."came her mother's reply and then there was a giggle.
"Yeah, busy with flirting."Ino whispered with a giggle.
Sakura giggled. She looked around at all the beautiful flower arrangements. "Wow,"Sakura said amazed,"Did you make all these?"
Ino nodded, smiling contently. "I did."
Sakura bent down and smelled some roses. "Mmmm."
Ino folded her arms on the counter and looked at Sakura touching the flowers, oh so delicately. "Sakura-chan?"
"Hm?"Sakura replied, not looking at Ino.
"Do...Do you think Naruto-kun will really find Sasuke-kun?"
Sakura froze. "I..."she choked. "I don't know."
There was a long pause and everything fell silent, like an old film.
Ino shifted uncomfortably. "I think he will. He's strong for such a screw up." Ino said breaking the silence.
Sakura smiled and resumed fluffing the flower. "Me too."

Sakura waved a goodbye to Ino. "Now make sure to visit more. Don't be a stranger!"Ino hollered over the hustle of street life.
Sakura nodded. "I will!" She began her walk back.
You know what? Sakura thought as she walked around. I should take a little walk to waste some time.
She then broke off from her usual path and began to walk some other way. She was so caught up in her thoughts that she didn't notice that she had stopped to think about Naruto right in front of the Uchiha land. When she came back to herself, she looked up and winced at the old cracked Uchiha clan symbol.
"This place is creepy..."Sakura said shivering. "Well.."she said holding herself,"might as well waste some time here."
She walked onto the Uchiha land and walked around. She saw the Sweet Shop the Police Force. So many things. I wonder, she thought, which one's Sasuke's. She walked around a bit more. The wind began to pick up.
"Geez,"she complained,"What's up with this weather?!" As she turned a corner, her heart stopped for a split second and she had to cover her mouth to make sure she didn't scream.
