The year is now 2000. Christi is now 5 and James is now 4. Both of them have become the best of friends. Eric, Vee, Tim and Pip are now all happily married. Vee has a bun in the oven. She's 3 months gone. Christi is very excited and so is Eric. Horatio is now Lt. of the crime lab. Eric, Vee, Tim and Pip are now all rookies in the crime lab. Eric and Vee have dropped Christi and James off at school. They walk in hand in with their teacher Miss Jones. Eric and Speed are proud dads. Seeing their children off to school. both children turn and wave like mad but unbeknown to Eric Christi's mom Penny Valdez is watching. Seeing Eric again for the first time in five years she falls in love with him again, and will do anything to get him and Christi back. But when she see Christi hug another women. Penny gets angry and decides to kidnap her daughter. The day goes by and the school bell rings letting the kids out. Penny goes over to her teacher and says, "Hi! I'm here to get Christina Delko! Her father asked me to pick her up!"

"Then you wouldn't mind if I ask your name and called her father first." Miss Jones asked.

"Go right ahead and my name is Penny Valdez." Penny said.

Miss Jones nodded and picked Christi up and took her with her back inside the school to call Eric.

"WHO THAT LADY MISS JONES!" Christi asked getting scared.

"JAMES COME ON!" Miss Jones called. James runs to keep up with miss jones

"Sweetheart I dont know I'm going to call your daddy okay?"

"Okay." Christi said with tears rolling down her face from her pretty brown eyes.

"There's no need to cry okay?" Miss Jones said.

"Okay." Christi said wiping the tears off her face as they reached the office. Miss. Jones put her down and James hugged Christi and she hugged him back.

"Delko!"

"Eric, it Elisabeth Jones from Miami-Dade Pre-school, there's a lady outside claiming you sent her to pick Christi up?"

"Oh what the lady name?"

"a Penny Valdez!"

"Okay what ever you do. DON'T LET HER NEAR CHRISTINA, she her biological mother, christi doesn't know she thinks Vee is her mom!"

"Alright and I have James with me as well."

"Okay just keep them both with you." Eric said as he ran to the trace lab and grabbed Speed and pulled him out. He saw H and waved him over as they ran to the elevator.

"hey where you two off too?" H calls

"The school, a Bad Penny just turn up!" Eric says with a smirk.

H looks puzzled

"Penny Valdez, Christina's natural mom!" Alexx says walking up to H.

"oh" H says.

Eric and Speed arrive at the school Penny is outside waiting still, Eric drives past her in the dept. Hummer her jaw drops to the ground. she didn't think he would go through with it and become a CSI. Eric ignores her and goes into the school Tim follows.

"Daddy!" both children cry throwing themselves at there fathers.

"want mommy!" Christi says

After getting the childrens homework off miss jones They head for the hummer.

"Eric!,"

"Speed take Christi and put her in the hummer out of the way"

"Eric i want to see my daughter!"

"NO penny, you gave up that right when you dumped her on me when i was 18!"

"Eric I want to see my daughter! I am her mother and who does she think is her mother! Some whore?!" Penny demanded.

"No she isn't a whore but she is Lt. caine's daughter! Virginia Delko-Caine!"

"Eric just let me see my daughter!"

"Penny no! Now get out of here! And stay away from the school! And if you set foot here again trying to take her I'll have you arrested!" Eric said showing his badge.

"you don't scare me Eric Delko, tring to be all macho what sort of cop are you?"

"I'm the worst kind, I'm a CSI! or can't you read!"

"oh big whop! Now let me see Christina!"

"NO!" Eric said.

Penny webt to spla himn but Eric grabbed her wrist and stopped her.

"You marrried that whore!" Penny said pulling her arm free.

"She's not a ehore and yes we're married! And you're undre aresst fro attempeed assult on an officer!" Eric said cuffing her and calling for a squad car.
