    Mission #3
    deadline 7.9.07 | 3PM PT

In round two's winning submission, Kirk, Spock and Scotty meet with Picard on Enterprise-D to discuss their dilemma. After the meeting, Riker takes issue with Picard for not telling Kirk that their version of history records the destruction of the original Enterprise shortly after its current encounter with the Guardian. Despite Picard's efforts to conceal it, Kirk finds out his ship will be destroyed. Spock and Data, on the planet in EV suits, try to gather more readings on the Guardian. They suddenly encounter their "doppelgangers," who pull them through the Guardian portal.

Your round three mission is to write a scenario in which the following occurs: Deepen the mystery of the Guardian's malfunction, describe what happens to Spock and Data (and their doppelgangers) after they pass through the portal, bring Kirk and Picard into greater conflict, and end on an even more suspenseful moment than the previous mission!

As always, feel free to bring other characters into the mix, but be sure to keep the main focus on Kirk and Picard: the conflict between them should be at its most intense in this part of the story, but don't try to resolve their conflict just yet.

I can't wait to see what you come up with next! Good luck!
