Jacqueline and D'Artagnan: "Ain't it Funny?"
Because love has a funny way of showing up uninvited
A companion video to "Collide." This video sums up Jacqueline (Jacques) and the younger D'Artagnan's unique romantic predicament better than any summary ever could. Set to one of Jennifer Lopez's more endearing songs.
Submitter Notes: Ah, so I've managed to get WMM to behave long enough to compile a second J/D video. I just adore this couple so much. Musical credit goes to Jennifer Lopez and Sony Music Studios for the title song. All clips and characters featured in this video compilation are a property of Ion Entertainment (formally Pax). All rights are reserved. I hope you enjoy :)

When she left her grand aventure behind in the city of Neverwinter, Dante Winterheart thought she was done with destiny and the usual heroics that came with it. However, all it takes is a bit of rotten luck, an ancient artifact, and a sinister plan before a familiar old burden falls back onto her shoulders.

A poem written in free verse, open to your interpretation. I was impassioned when I wrote this down and I thought it encapsulated my emotions rather well.

Good stuff
I like the song you picked. YOur cutting seemed nice and smooth. And LOL- I don't think I could have kissed her with the fake gotee on either. I mean...If I was a man trying to kiss a woman dressed as a man....MAN! I bet that gets confusing.
I love how the song seems to play…
I love how the song seems to play to their relationship. I know nothing about the fandom, but I see you've done great work here! I hope that with practice (and some better video editing software) I can make a video as well done as yours someday. Keep up the great work!
Re: I love how the song seems to play…
l'm glad that you enjoyed it, java! Mind, this was done with Windows Movie Maker, a program forged in the deepest pits of the abyss and surreptitiously slipped into the Windows bundle for ease of use. Where this beast is concerned, patience trumps all practice.
Thank you for taking the time to comment, and I'm glad you liked it.
If you do put a video together, please let me know, I'd love to take a peek at it (although, if I may speak from experience, if you have a chance to get your hands on an alternative video editing software, do so. It'll save you a headache).
I can certainly see why you ship…
I can certainly see why you ship these two. :-) I love how you were able to capture their attraction to each and how they fight it, but it's obviously not going to be denied. Great job!
Re: I can certainly see why you ship…
Karen Cliche and Tobias Mehler just have amazing chemistry in this series. They are (in my opinion) the ultimate 'will-they-or-won't-they?' nail-biting couple. Thanks for reviewing!
A love/hate relationship?
It seems like there's a love/hate thing going on there. And I thank you for throwing in that last scene to give me a feel of how the speak to one another. I've never seen this show, I should add, so the video is literally standing on its own when attempting to sell the pairing. I'm a person who could see herself liking a love/hate romance, but I'm not sure I'd like the younger D'Artagnan. You portrayed the love/hate apect in Jacqueline's feelings, but seemed to only portray the less loveable qualities of D'Artagnan. I can clearly see why she would dislike him and be fed up with him, but why she would love him, that I am still unsure of.
Great editing, it went well with the rhythm of the song and the lyrics. Well done, there.
Re: A love/hate relationship?
Perhaps I should have chosen a different clip at the end. My intention was to demonstrate their playful banter, but it seems I've done the quite opposite. I wanted to keep the video content lighthearted and humorous, but I've made the opposite impression. Yikes! It's not your fault, seeing as you've never seen the show, but, as any YB fan could testify, the clips I've chosen are a mix of D'Artagnan oscillating from a cad to a noble character; I should have left the audio in on some parts.
Still, as I mentioned in my summary, this is a companion video to "Collide." Whereas this particular video focuses more on Jacqueline's point of view, "Collide" is more D'Artagnan's. Then again, if you were looking for an entirely serious romance video, you might be a little disappointed there too.
Ah well. Thanks for watching! :D
Re: A love/hate relationship?
I think the last clip showed a really good banter. So when I talked about how D'Artagnan was shown in the video, it was more the soundless clips where I got the impression of him ;)
Re: A love/hate relationship?
Yikes! That means I'm in trouble. lol. There are several scenes in there that were actually sentimental moments between the two characters--especially the subject matter of the episode that I pulled the majority of these clips from--wherein he was being especially supportive and kind. I can't believe that I would've given the wrong impression from that. As a fan, it's so easy to step back and be on the outside looking in.
Still, thank you for taking the time to think this through and analyze your thoughts and impressions. I'll be sure to be more careful next time. :)
:)
very nice.. .although I've never seen Young Blades...
Makes me want to watch it... Great job Daring...
Re: :)
lol. I'm glad I ignited a bit of interest in the series. I'm glad you enjoy the video!
Great!!!
How could Jacqueline and d'Artagnan be otherwise? Once again, Daring, you've put together a fabulous video. Bravo!
Re: Great!!!
It's always great to get another fans stamp of approval. Thanks for watching, Jean :)

I used to rock to this song in the car...haha. It brought back a lot of memories. Nice job on this! I love the beginning where they look to be playing with the song! LOL!
Re: I used to rock to this song in the…
I'm glad you liked it, modern! Haha. The musicians were a last minute add on.

very nice job with this one, I love the line at the end, lol :D
Re: teehee
That line sums up their relationship in a nutshell :) Thanks for taking the time to comment, flash!
