Watercolor pencils and paint. My second attempt at watercolor. (The first attempt is in the garbage!)
Submitter Notes: The image is washed out quite a bit from the original after scanning. I am not sure how to correct this problem. (?)

Write a story, make a video, or draw a picture that involves mermaids. It can be original or for any fandom. You just have to incorperate mermaids as a main part of the submission. I have put no limit, but please try to keep it no longer than 7000 words.

Cleo, Rikki, and Emma are just beginning to enjoy their lives as mermaids, when a local fisherman spots one of them near Mako Island. When he starts a mermaid hunt the three girls are stuck on land until the whole thing blows over. Then when a new girl comes to school things begin to get complicated when she endangers the girl's secrets with a secret of her own.

I love your mermaids and the wonderful dolphin in the background. Your illustration made me remember how fun watercolor pencils and paint are.
(If you have access to Photohop or something similar you can fix your color problem easily)

Like the naive quality of this. The dolphin seems to be part of the sea, which is very fitting and the mermaids are very colourful. Good work. :)
