Bloodlust:
Chapter 13
A large battle occurs: Dragons V.S Werewolves
The dragons started to get back on track after that; hunting every night. This went’ on for almost a month; but one night Iron wasn’t feeling well and had Frost and Crystal go hunting without him. He locked himself in the basement and chugged down a bunch of aspirins for a headache that he had had all night and had only been growing worse with each passing hour.
Around midnight a familiar pain began to take over his body; it brought him down to his knees.
“Oh no. Not again.”
No sooner had his words left him did spikes begin to grow along his arms and down his back. He could feel himself growing more muscular in this painful process. His blue feathers fell to the floor in a large heap, and his eyes grew a bright red. Before he knew it, he was transformed into this inner beast, and began to destroy everything in the basement. When he was done with that, he broke out of the basement and began causing havoc on the streets of Boston.
That’s how Frost found him, and fought him. Luckily luck was on their side and they were able to sneak Iron in the basement when he was himself again.
“Geese, you didn’t leave anything in one piece.” Frost said when they got down their.
“Yeah I guess so.” Iron replied.
“You don’t remember doing this?”
“Well… not really. It was kind of like a dream to me.” He sat down on an unstable chair. “Any ideas what’s going on with me?”
Frost leaned against a wall and crossed his arms,
“I think you’re some kind of wear-dragon.” You become this blood thirsty beast on new moons.”
“It’s a new moon tonight?”
“Well yeah. Not only did I have trouble seeing outside tonight, but the calendar also says so. I also think this because I found you on a night of a new moon.”
“Could it be that I was infused with some of the metacopraton’s power?”
“It’s possible. Perhaps Crystal and I interrupted the process.”
“But why on only new moons?”
“Because it was a new moon that night?”
“I forgot.”
“So did I. Perhaps Crystal remembers?”
“I doubt it.”
“How ‘bout the humans?”
“I doubt that too. They must have been too traumatized to notice.”
“Yeah your right.”
“So what are we going to do about, ‘Bloodlust Irondragon’?”
“Next time Drake comes with money we’ll get you chains and tie you down on new moons.”
“Good idea, but we can’t wait that long.”
“Alright. I’ll have the humans get us some strong chains. Don’t worry.”
“Don’t worry? How can I not worry?”
“I don’t know, but for once let me handle this.”
“If you say so.”
Then Frost gave his biggest dragony smile. It made them both laugh.
“Oh, and I also think we should call ‘Bloodlust Irondragon’ just ‘Bloodlust’ for short.” Frost said before going upstairs to go to bed.
“Whatever. It’s my dark beast and I don’t want it. Call it what you will.” Iron told him.
A few nights later, Iron had a dream. A dream of a human girl with brown curly hair and hazel eyes. She wore a black spring jacket with no hood and jeans. She was writing something on a note book. In his dream he looked over her shoulder and saw that she was writing about him.
“Who are you?” He asked.
She didn’t respond.
“I’m Irondragon, what’s your name?”
“Which one do you want to know?” She asked.
“How many do you have?”
“Three.”
“Tell me all three, please.”
“My names are Karlene, Karly, and…”
But then he woke up.
“Karly.” He said to himself.
And then he got up to get ready to hunt.
While the dragons were riding around, Iron turned his mic to Crystal’s frequency to ask her a question.
“Crystal, what are dreams?”
“Thoughts in your subconscious. Why?”
“I had a really weird dream last night.”
“What happened?”
“I dreamed of a girl with three names.”
