A Magic Moment to Remember
One night in London changed everything.
A continuation of And My Heart Beat with a Rapture New.
"What are you doing here?" Rory asked Logan surprised and grabbed the cup of coffee from his hand.
"I told you I would come visit you."
"I know that. When did you put that note in my book?"
"I can't tell you that information. It is classified."
"Come on Logan. Just tell me."
"I don't want to." He said before he grabbed her and pulled her close to him.
"Why do you want to see me?"
"Because you're pretty."
"That's it?"
"No and I find you absolutely intriguing. I want to know more about you Ace."
"Ace?"
"You'll get it."
"Ace Reporter?"
"That was fast."
By this time Finn and Tristan were ready to leave. "We'll meet you at Luke's" Tristan said as he got in his car.
"Don't do anything I wouldn't do love." Finn screamed getting in the passenger seat.
They drove off. Logan and Rory were now alone in the Chilton parking lot.
"They're heading to Luke's?" Logan asked.
"Yeah, I was supposed to be going with them, but then you showed up and surprised me. They want to compare it to Sophie's."
"Well maybe I should join you. You know, have my own say in it."
"That's fine with me because I have to get to Luke's and i have no way of getting there now."
"Well then I'll drive you."
"In that wonderful Porsche of yours?"
"Only the best for you."
"Such the charmer Huntzberger."
"Too bad it was the truth." And with that statement he closed the space between their faces and brushed his lips against hers. They both felt the emotions rushing back from when they were standing outside her hotel room in London. She wasn't expecting the kiss at all, but she wasn't complaining. She didn't want it to stop. Wait, what was that all about? I can't be falling for Logan. I barely know him. Logan didn't know why he chose to kiss her right then and there. Maybe it was how close they were standing or that they were alone, he had been contemplating on if he wanted to kiss her or not since she walked out of the doors leaving Chilton. Rory Hayden. She isn't like any other girl I've pulled into bed with me. Do I even want to take her to bed with me? No she's not like that, I think. She's different, I'll give her that. I'm falling for this girl. I barely know her and I'm falling. That's impossible. We just have to be friends for now. It appeared that neither of them wanted the kiss to end, but Rory broke away, "I think we should head to Luke's so they don't think we eloped or anything."
"Damn, I forgot to bring the rings, whatever shall we do?"
"We shall get in the car and you will start driving us to Luke's."
"In Stars Hollow?"
"Yep."
"Please point me in the right direction then."
"That way." Rory said as she got into the passenger side of his Porsche."
Logan had grabbed the copy of The Poems, Prose and Plays of Alexander Pushkin that he had brought with him and handed it to Rory once he got into the car. She started flipping through it. Then her eyes fell on a certain poem. It was the poem from the night at Sophie's in London. But there was something different about it. Logan had written all over it. At the top there was a note that read:
Ace,
This is one of my favorites, too but when you read it aloud
to me that night, it seemed different.
It was new. You're not like the brainless, blonde, bimbos
that fall at my feet.
You intrigue me. I want to know more about you.
This poem reminds me of you Rory Hayden.
Logan
Tears started to form as Rory read that note, but as she continued to read she found that he had written what he was thinking when she read the poem to him next to the lines that he related his thoughts to.
I remember a wonderful moment
As before my eyes you appeared,
Like a vision, fleeting, momentary,
Like a spirit of the purest beauty.
In the torture of hopless melancholy,
In the bustle of the world's noisy hours,
That voice rang out so tenderly,
(Your laugh. I heard it across the room at the party.)
I dreamed of that lovely face of yours.
Great story
