Hey fans. Just a thought I had. Why can't Picard fight hand to hand? I know that's not everything, but he couldn't beat Soran in Generations. It took Kirk to do it for him. And if you'd kept count, Picard rolled down that hill on Veridian Three two times because Soran kicked his butt. Then there's Nemesis, where JL gets B-slapped by Shinzon! I'm sorry, but that is dumb. Kira and Sulu were both smaller than Picard and could fight ten times better than JL. As much as I love JL as an intellectual, pilot, and shooter, he's got a long way to go on self-defense skills.
Three best hand to hand fighters in all of Trek? In my opinion, for overall fighting skill, I have would to say Kirk, Sisko, and Worf, all equally. We all know about what Worf and Kirk can do, but Sisko knocked down Jem'Hadar and Klingon warriors solidly (besides punching out Q!). Anyway, if you fans had any thoughts of JL's fighting or lacking of fighting skills, please drop a note. Regards

Many fans have wondered what's happened to Trek. I wonder the same. I think they could learn something from BSG and others. I think the new movie will be good though, but I wonder if it was necessary to go back in time as opposed to staying forward and building on good writing. Your thoughts?

Hey there. Actually, I did mean to keep the "Guinesses" a comin'. It was one of my infamous typos. So you were definitely right on the real meaning and hopefully got a good laugh out of it.
I will definitely mail with some ideas on the PM option. Regards.

I really like Tigh too. He is extremely believeable and just plain cool. I love that line he gave to Roslin on New Caprica too; tough as nails. I admire what he had to do too... Actually, I'd always hoped that he and Starbuck would sleep together, just for the hell of it. A one night stand to break them all. I haven't checked out the Last Supper photo and will need to do that.
I loved Razor and loved Michelle Forbes' performance as Cain. Solid Trek writers and actors kickin' butt in BSG and other places. I love EJ Olmos' performance and remember him well from Miami Vice and other cool roles.
You know what would be fun to do? Stories about the First Cylon War. That was like a ten to twelve year war that not much canon detail has been done with. Bsgfan, might you be interested in teaming up for a story we could do together about that? Just a thought, amongst many as only we constantly thinking/moody artists can do. So I'm a Tigh; oh, well! Keep the Gusiness a comin'!

Hey Bsgfan,
I can't shoot any holes in your theories, because all is game right now. You raise some very interesting points too. I've actually put my fanfics of Battlestar Avalon on hold because I want to see how the rest of the canon series plays out before dabbling anymore into the BSG storyline. I had some hopefully unique ideas but definitely want to take the patient route on that. I think Galactica has one of the best plots going for it right now in any story. It's drama at its absolute best. If Trek was done in a similar way, it would be a hell of an improvement. Granted, Trek is a different kind of story, but DS9 did great with making Trek more dark in tone and serial in story nature as opposed to stand alone style. B5 and Galactica have done that very well. I still think B5 is one of the best shows ever made and needs more done with it. I can't wait for Caprica either.
By the way, who is your favorite BSG character? Mine is Doc Cottle. He has hardly any appearances, but has the greatest one-liners and I love his "bedside manner." Such a quote form him, "What did you expect, genius? You put a pilot in charge of crowd control."

You know, Betareject, you have a point from your friend there. What if all the humans died in the initial attack and everyone that is left is a Cylon, except maybe Balter? Maybe the fleet is a controlled population of the Cylons to see if they can weed out human agression and so that everyone can live together in harmony or something. The Cylons always mention humanity's flaws, and the fleet does seem to get luck. Maybe luck had nothting to do with it, but was rather by design...

I agree with all of you about the journey and how the characters evolve and such. As you've also said from various prophicies and the like, it doesn't really matter what the beginning or ending really is, or, if there really is one. Isn't like too what Leoben said about it being "the same story every time, but we play a different role each time." Something like that. These are some really good thoughts, including's Cain's sister. Maybe she's that new female hybrid we've been seeing. The other interesting thing is that old hybrid from Razor that said about Kara. I wonder what that will all mean. If you have any other thoughts, please put them out into the open.
I'd like to see the new Caprica show get done as well. It sounds really interesting and would shed a lot of backstory on the current show I'm sure. I've always liked Ron Moore's writing, back from Trek TNG and DS9 days and think he should come back to Trek eventually, but do it HIS way. Maybe even get J. Michael Stracynski to work with. Boy Trek would sure turnaround. Though I'm not knocking what Abrams and his new crew are doing. Time will tell. If anyone has seen Iron Man or any other new summer hits, your opinions are really welcomed. Regards.

Hello FanLibbers,
I was writing to see if any Battlestar Galactica fans had any thoughts about how they think the series might end. Most interestingly I've found, is how the ruins get older--not more recent in time--the closer the fleet gets to Earth. For example, Kobol's ruins are two thousand years old. The Eye of Jupiter is four thousand years old. That could suggest that Earth is really the original home of mankind, not Kobol. If that be the case, maybe it's possible that humans left Earth in the BSG universe long ago and went out among the stars. So maybe finding Earth isn't really finding a new home--but finding the original home. So...more of a homecoming instead? What do you guys think?

If you look at the signature below, instead of showing the picture link to go to the particular story in question, it only shows that dumb programmer language. If someone could please instruct me on the proper way to do it I would be grateful.
