No, you don't get what i mean by that. i mean that it was so different from the others, that I don't count it as part of the series. I know westerfeld and a lot of other people consider it like that...actually, scratch that. westerfeld just used it as a basis, evolving off a completely different idea. if you look on his blog, you'll see that. sorry for the misunderstanding...

Well, I see what you mean and that's your opinion, but in our opinion (marina-wa and I) it is part of the series, and it isn't the Uglies trilogy anymore, it's the Uglies series.
Nice to have somebody else's perspective on that though. So, blind till dawn, Zane or David? and what was your favorite book (EXTRAS included)?

thanks. there are a lot of ways of thinking of it. I'd still say my fav by far is specials. and as far as guys go, i'd say david. i didn't want zane to die, but i really kind of figured he might. i kind of just wanted him to find a different girl. on a different site, someone said the reason why they like zane more is b/c david came between tally and shay. but it's funny that they said that b/c zane did too. and zane actually when you think about it did it worse. he got the pill and she didn't and that hurt her more then it hurt her to loose a guy that was never really hers.

ya i know. i expected him to be much more involed in the series. at the begining, i thought tally was going to whind up dating him or something. but you know, it seemed like he was never really there. and he did bail a lot. who else agrees?

just the way she acted, excuse my french, btw...anyway, it was the way she acted towards everyone. idk she just kind of put the blame for everything on a conned 16 year-old's shoulders. just rereading pretties recently made me realise...

*still doesn't understand why people call it French when it is MUCH bigger and worse than French* (not that French is bad).
Anyway, she just forgot about telling Tally how the cure worked, and I don't really think she had much time to explain at the end of Uglies. I don't know, I'll have to re-read it.

when i just reread uglies, maddie had plenty of time to tell tally. she just rushed her off so fast because she couldn't stand seeing her son with her. there's just a few things she said in pretties to that make me not really like her too much...

i love the books. People say they are gonna turn the series into a movie. I sure hope so! I also want a 5th book to it all. I wrote my own 5th book on my profile but it's clearly not as good as Scott.

IF this book series does happen to be made into a movie, I would want them to understand the impression it has made on its fanbase. In other book-gone-movies, Twilight and the Harry Potter series for example, they were going to put in different ideas and concepts, and add unwanted things. The Harry Potter series didn't turn out as most fans were expecting. No one knows how Twilight has turned out yet, but hopefully it will end up better than most expect it. Catherine Hardwicke has taken out most unwanted scenes, but who knows. I just hope that if there will be an Uglies movie, they don't mess up the script and plot more than necessary.
