Heroes:
My Grandmother for helping unleash my love of reading and writing. James Patterson for being an amazing author I can only strive to be like. Edgar Allan Poe for being brilliant and twisted and always in my head. Mr. Bayes (high school creative writing teacher) for helping me realize my full potential. My friend Ivy who is always the best she can be no matter what hand may be dealt to her and is always there for me. My fanlib friends (you know who you are!) who are also always there for me, help inspire and motivate me, and are always honest and loyal to me no matter what, which is such a hard trait to find anymore! I love you guys and I don't know where I'd be without you!

A little Venting about my Mama DramaWe all have Mommy issues I think. Here are some of mine. I really felt the need to vent and pour them on to paper so I could move on. I thought a picture of one of my own little life-lines would lighten it up! Names are changed but this is based on my life.
~Inspired by Maryilee's Ready, Set, Go! Writer Prompt~

Can you rise to the challenge?Ten random words in a thousand words (or less) story, and it has to make sense! Can you handle the pressure? Write a short story based on any existing or original fandom using the ten chosen words, and do it in a thousand or less words! Sound easy? Let's see what you've got!

Haiku Poetry Contest!Sometimes, less is more. When you limit the amount of words (or in this case, syllables), you find yourself making sure those words count. Haiku's are one of my favorite styles of poetry because they are so short, simple, yet often meaningful. Your challenge is to write Haiku about any fandom, even original. Finalists will be chosen by grammer, fitting the Haiku rules, and creativity.

A new Poetry contest embracing all poems except for love!I have nothing against love poems, I just wanted to focus on all the other poems out there. So submit a poem, any style, that has anything to do with anything except love. I look forward to reading it! It can be original or based on an existing fandom.

New writer's challenge!Have a favorite character that you'd like to cast under a different light? Ever wonder how Clark Kent or Peter Petrelli might have been if they'd gone bad? Maybe James Norrington becomes a pirate. Or perhaps the profiler becomes a serial killer. Take any character you'd like, and change their course. Make it your own while staying true to that character.

If I GAVE a summary, it would be longer then the *ahem* SHORT STORY. But it won in a short story contest, so just read it =]

Here’s my attempt at drawing pirates of the Caribbean’s most cheeky and colourful character, the wonderful Captain Jack Sparrow. I’m still not sure if I like it but you be the judge! Enjoy ye fellow pirates :D
