I was really impressed by this story. It kept me on the edge of my set all night. Once I started I couldn't stop. This is one of my favorite supernatural fic yet!!

I want you know know I signed up on this site just so I could comment on this story. The way you captured Sam and Dean and their relationship was perfect in every way, even Bobby was dead on character. The lore and Demon mythology and the black magic were totally convincing, this should really be an episode! (The beautiful thing is that Jared and Jensen are so good at all of those quick-glance emotional exchanges that they probably wouldn't even have to cut much to make it fit!)

Also, I would like to applaude you for putting in the love scene anyway even though you were scared too. It was perfect in every way. The part where Dean's heart was crying to her to heal him brought tears to my eyes. It wasn't cheesy or forced - it was Dean's inner child exactly as we know him to be.

Kudos to you, really!

Ps - whenever I write something, I like to beat the holy crap out of my characters too. I thought that you killed Dean was AWESOME. ;-)

Pps - I just finished a short piece myself that I will post soon, and I laughed so hard when I read your story, because I, too, make reference to Dean being upset at Sam for ruining his fav pair of jeans.

I have read all your stories. I have to tell you that this and An Act of Deliberation have been wonderful. I think you have a great way of telling your story, you interest the reader and give a lot of what you want to say, but you say it well while staying true to the characters. Nicely, nicely done.

This is well-written and you do a great job with the details. I can't believe this has been viewed over one hundred times and not one person has commented on it. Very sad.

The only thing I could say is that I woud like it better if it had been written in past tense instead of present tense. I'm not a fan of present tense at all, but despite that, I was caught up in the visceral images you showed.
