This is a very well put-together video. I liked the choice of music, and the overlay of the half-time speech is perfect. Nice job! =)

Regarding the first one, I can see how a "coach" tends to be the "man in charge." But there's always someone to wrap them around their finger. Heh. I guess Tami is the one of "power" in this case.

Um, maybe it's me, but I'm dense on the last one. I'm sure it's me ... lol my mind's in the wrong place, I guess.

This is a wonderful story, Maryilee. I really enjoyed it. The delivering the baby was my favorite part. You can really do a lot under pressure. Great work. :D

Oh wow, at least there is some light at the tunnel for Gary, but I can definitely see that things won't be back to normal for him in the least bit, not after what he went through.

This phrase really made me realize just how disconnected he was from the world: >>He used to think of his parents, home, Marissa and even the cat. Now he thought only in the moment. He had no past and no future. Only the present.<< It made things so dark, but it put his thoughts into perspective for me.

I also liked the comment about him hallucinating being released. That would be scary, to be afraid to believe what was going on in real life because it could possibly be a dream.

Beautiful job yet again. I could smell the aroma in the shower as he lathered up...I could feel the jolt of the vehicle he was riding in...everything. Love it. :-)

I have to agree with Shilom here. Love the story and the writing is amazing, but disturbed by the theme.

In this piece you talk about his and her closets. To me, the way this is being introduced, is a critique of the game, and how it has been twisted from a pastime (tossing the ball around in the backyard, or a friendly school game) into a business. You make that very clear, and by repeating the theme of the closets (which to me symbolizes the excess of consumerism and middle class life) it becomes an important point. Especially in an introduction to the fandom.

What this says to me is that we are dealing with the commercialization of sports, and the economic side of it. While people matter (coach feels AWFUL! about how it hurts his athletes!) what this is saying to me is that football is all about the Bottom Line. Cash. Money. Income. Ticket sales. Promotions....

Certainly, you emphasize the emotions of the relationships of the characters, as I suppose the show does too. But the fact that these athletes are so into it, probably with hopes of making the big time as professionals, and the coach's livelihood (and the closets!) really drives this home to me.

It is really interesting. From your other works I never really got this feeling (even though I thought it). But in this piece, it jumps out at me.
