This...doesn't seem to have much of a point to it.

Your description is ample, but doesn't seem that integrated - you spend a paragraph describing the particular mushrooms that seems to just be floating there in the midst of your story. He's in the forest-like area, he look up at one, there's detailed description, then it never ties back in.

Your biology is also a bit weird - your fungus seems to be shading out your ferns. One's photosynthetic, the other's not. If there are massive mushrooms, you should probably also have massive ferns and mosses. (Also, fungi isn't synonymous with plant life. They're closely related to animals, not plants)

Anyway, there's no real plot. It's basically a shaggy dog story, without even a real resolution. There's a jedi. He's attacked, survives, then is attacked again and dies, accomplishing nothing. Perhaps if you went more into his thoughts and feelings, this could work on an introspective, character level, but you're relying here on external plot, and honestly, there isn't one.

Your writing, on a technical level, is really good. You definitely do a good job at putting in a lot of detail, even if I do think it could be more integrated, and I don't see any mechanical errors at all. If this was part of an overall action story, it'd be quite good, but by itself, there simply doesn't seem to be a point.
