I might lose control. I could harm you…” His face was right next to hers, “Jean, you’re not going to hurt anyone.” He extended his wings, enfolding her. “I’m not afraid of you,” he whispered.

When Remy LeBeau left Rogue on the shore of the Ripper’s bayou hideout, he slipped a solitary playing card into the palm of her hand. It was a conciliatory gesture — an offer for friendship, an unspoken apology, and the beginning of a less-than-friendly game between rivals.

This tells Joanna's story from the moment before she was thrown back to the moment she steps into the hotel and her life changes.
